Edible Arrangements Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Edible Arrangements Sucks. Edible Arrangements is a U.S.-based franchising business that specializes in fresh fruit arrangements, combining the concept of a fruit basket with designs inspired by flower arrangement. The company also sells a variety of specialty fruit gift items, such as gift boxes featuring chocolate dipped fruit, and fresh fruit products.

Michelle S. from NY says this in a review posted by INFLUENSTER about Edible Arrangements: "It was absolutely awful experience. Ordered a bunch of fruit for our boss and it was supposed to be delivered on a Friday. It was not delivered and we were not notified it was going to be late. It didn't get to her until Tuesday. When we asked to resend new fruit they said they would and they never did. This happened once, twice, but three times... she was expecting to get a new package and it never happened they finally refunded our money"

Former Employee - Customer Service says

"Corporate office continuously makes it difficult for store owners to stay in business. They mandated upgrades that were not minor a few years ago, then changes their mind and decide to go with a completely different color scheme and mandating they purchase additional expensive equipment. There's so much turnover at corporate it's like a revolving door-and it never stops turning. The founder/CEO forces vendors to give kickbacks in exchange for offering up the store owner's money, which the vendors pass off in increased prices to the store owners. I was laid off because my store owner can't afford to pay me and several other employees and keep the doors open at the store."

Former Employee - Fruit Expert says

"Poor leadership, management cares nothing for the employees, just want to make money."

Former Employee - Senior Manager says

"I believe another CEO/President is out. No one can last there with the founder. I hate seeing people with presumably good jobs/careers leaving to go there. Please, please, please don't."

Former Employee - Fruit Expert says

"Cons: management does everything they can to not be in store or help whatsoever"

Former Employee - Delivery Driver says

"Last minute orders that require an extra 2 hours of time spent at work. Heard manager make fun of overweight applicant. Manager played favorites. If you don't dive into the "culture", don't expect fair treatment, it's cringy. You're not allowed to leave deliveries, MUST be taken by someone or have permission to leave it (can't do this in the summer only winter). Hired another person for delivery when our hours got cut already. Delivery drivers are also janitors! Enjoy the block walk to the dumpster. And have fun scraping old chocolate off the floor with a spackle tool at the end of a broom handle. $10/hr job, but holiday temps get paid $8 bucks per delivery...so averaging around $100+ dollars a day for a couple hours while we got near to nothing and longer hours in comparison."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Owner was a diva. Employees all miserable."

Former Employee - Delivery Driver says

"KC stores - Northland Senior management is not present on a daily basis. Store manager brings toddler to work & neglects responsibilities. Favoritism is encouraged by ow er that is never present. Pay is outrageously low."

Former Employee - Assistant Store Manager says

"Corporate Environment, Stuffy, Low Pay, High Work, Low Rewards."

"Steal rob cheat and treat employees horrible"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Company or management had no idea what they were doing they wanted to create receivables when they take money up front from their franchise. Receivables is based on credit not cash up front"

Driver (Former Employee) says

"Insufficient pay for an exorbitant amount of work. Unable to clock yourself in or out so the overtime you will inevitably work is not properly, if at all, accounted for. nonelisted above"

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says

"No formal training. Lack of communication. Had problems crop up didn’t seem like anyone cared or wanted to help fix them. First day on job handed keys and told to load truck."

Manager (Former Employee) says

"The most horrible place I have ever worked. They treat you like you are not even human. I would never even shop there. I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY. UNCLEAN, BUGS, HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK. NO BENEFITS. WORK 15 HR DAYS"

Edible arrangements (Former Employee) says

"Worst place I've ever worked at. Manager was neglectful and left it all on employees, he would find a way to blame issues like not having materials like containers on employees. I had several bounced checks that were given to me, and of course I had to pay for each bounced check, I'm still owed $100 and was never paid back. Please avoid working here!!"

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says

"It was easily one of the worst jobs I had ever worked in my life. Management only cared about themselves and not employees or barely customers. The job did not allow me to have a life nor did they care. My mother was in the hospital and they wouldn't even allow me to take off to be with her. I was told "You can see her when you get off." Who's says something like that? Even a local police officer told me I should quit when they told me to push the truck out of traffic when it had broken down. Stay away from this job if you can, there's a reason they can't keep anyone."

Fruit Prep (Former Employee) says

"Run for the hills . Terrible work culture full of throwing people under the bus , rude and disrespectful to each other , blaming you for any and every thing . Store owner is extremely shady ! She refuses to give paystubs so you won’t see how much you’re actually making and why you’re making sooo little . Hours and pay almost never add up . Terrible work environment. I would never do it again or recommend to anyone .Easy jobShady business practices, unfair pay, poor management"

Arrangement Maker (Former Employee) says

"If you want to work for a grumpy, verbally abusive person, this is the perfect job for you! No matter how fast or hard you work, you'll never hear "good job" or "keep it up." Only constant criticism and being talked down to. I have no idea why this person is working there if they're so miserable. Don't work at the Portsmouth, NH location if you have any self respect."

Fruit Designer (Former Employee) says

"Good place to work but is very slow unless it is valentines day. The location I was at had a very rude owner who did not respect my schedule or the workers."

Team Member (Part-time) says

"The managers and the person who hired me seemed nice at first, yet always ended up being so rude. She would speak to people rudely, and one time when I called her for information she talked down on me."

DELIVERY DRIVER (Former Employee) says

"New owners that bought the store in manalapan are insane. The woman thinks she's above everyone else. Always talking down to workers and customers. Bad place to work at for $10.00/Hr.NoneEverything"

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says

"I worked for this company for a few months, who were previously located off W. Broad St., but are now located off of Three Chopt Rd. The first negative thing that I noticed about the job, was that I didn't receive my paperwork until 2 weeks after I started working. This messed up my chances of being able to get paid on time. The manager's "solution" for this, was to send me money via Venmo. This resulted in me getting paid 4 days late for my first paycheck, 6 days late for my 2nd, and 4 days late for my 3rd. I have bills to pay, so most people would see that as unacceptable. The manager also had been paying me $10/hr, when we agreed on $12/hr at the beginning of employment. The care for employees is almost non-existent here. I could write more about my awful experience here, but I'll leave it at that. Save yourself the headaches, and find a different job!"

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says

"The owner was not consistant with expectations, and direction to grow. I often had to work the entire store alone during peak hours. Time was inconsistent for management."

Fruit Expert (Former Employee) says

"The store has poor management. They throw trash into trash cans with no bag in there, you are there by yourself, cleaning is a lot, and there is little respect for employees.Watch Netflix when it is slowEverything else"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"The Burlington NC store! We were paid in the 1st and the 15th and always ask to hold our checks for several days or weeks. The owner and manager bought items like balloons, and containers from dollar tree, stuffed animals from Walmart and sold them as edible arrangement Merchandise. A lot of time the chocolate and fruit was purchased from Walmart and Aldis and passed off as gourmet, mold was washed off of grapes"

Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"For years, with the old owners, it was always fun to come into work. When the present owners took over they made it horrible. They came in with no experience but thought they knew everything. They eventually got rid of the long term employees so they could pay less to undocumented help. They would not pay overtime because they knew we would not say anything because the young employees were young and afraid to lose their jobs. This place was run into the ground. The quality of produce was terrible because they bought cheaper fruit. I did not like selling our product because there would always be customer complaints."

Store Manager (Former Employee) says

"the owner was very unfair, firing people left and right just because he did not like them, He refuses raises but expects one person to do the job of 4/5 people, and that’s with out the harassmentCreative outletPig owner who tries to sleep with employees, completely inappropriate management, personnel issues being openly discussed in front on team members that are not management and no"

Delivery driver (Current Employee) says

"This place is a slave driver for its employees..no benefits..very overworked and under payed...the owners are selfish people..they only come in to pick up there money and leave .. they take forever to order things for the store.."

Director of Communications (Former Employee) says

"I have nothing nice to say about this company so I’d prefer to leave it at that the culture is toxic and there is no collaboration. You’re just given orders and are expected to follow. Input is not respected."

Driver (Former Employee) says

"Saying one thing an never do it , bad pay and over worked, dint have no benifits, doing other things that dint go to the hiring position, will never work again to that place"

Delivery Route Driver (Current Employee) says

"The only thing I do like about this job is that I get to work at my own pace & don't have anyone over my shoulder all the time. There are absolutely no benefits, no paid time off, no sick days, no vacation time & no room for advancement, There is no pay raises & management is very non- caring"

alexis says

"I ordered a gift for my parents near January 20th, and it was supposed to arrive February 15th. They called me an hour before they closed on the 15th and said they couldn’t make the order and they’d deliver it tomorrow the 16th. It is now almost closing on the 16th and i’ve checked the status of the order multiple times, it has not yet been made. It is absolutely ridiculous. They didn’t even offer money back or extra anything for the inconvenience."

Shavonn Stewart-Oliver says

"I am currently still waiting on a call back from a representative to process the refund of my order that was promised and now will not be delivered today 1/9/21! I am beyond disappointed at the lack of time provided by 1-800- flowers c/o edible arrangements. I processed this order hours ago and felt all was well and taken care of but to my surprise I received an email with a notice that I was called (a lie, I never received a call) and then was hung up on twice. I have waited for a call back from someone for a half hour now. When I was able to speak to a representative after I called back 3 times, he wouldn’t even give his name nor the name of the representative I first spoke to, stating for privacy reasons. I have NEVER experienced such unprofessionalism from a company I thought I could trust! How are you not able to provide your name or at least an ID operator number. I’m beyond disgusted. Refund my money ASAP and at this point I’m done with edible arrangements! I will also be posting this for the public to see as well as letting friends and family know what took place. In sheer disappointment, Shavonn"

"i went to the mobile, alabama store and asked for a certain color container for a birthday party it was going to. after i choose a container that would work i was assured i would get a white rectangle for the large arrangement i ordered with add ons. when the arrangement came it was in a small blue container. to make matters worse when i called and said something they told me they would give me a refund but instead charged my card a second time. so i have now paid over $300 for a p-ss poor product. would not recommend this store"

Yvonne Sherrer says

"The fruit is great, the customer service - very poor! If something goes wrong forget it! In my latest venture with on line ordering from them the site told me on 3 attempts -something went wrong, try again. Thus no order and no record of attempts yet my credit card charged 3 times! Called customer service, they acted as if I was trying to pull something. Asked them to give me an email and I would send them the screen shots-no. I asked them to call the credit card company directly with me on the to give permission -they could verify - no -nothing! Fortunately the credit card company says the charges are just pending and they will alert me if they are put thru -nevertheless that amount of money is being held back from use. But its the poor customer service that concerns me!!!"

Bob S says

"Very poor delivery service. I gave them a three day window for delivery. They chose the day. Then delivered after 4:00 after office personnel went home. I will not use again!"

Angelica Y. says

"Worst customer service experience - they should be ashamed! After being notified that our delivery couldn't be delivered, we tried contacting the store (6833 Snider Plaza, Dallas, TX store) to see how we could resolve the issue. We gave the local store a 2nd number to contact, but they only called the 2nd number after we notified the corporate customer service of the issue we were having with the local store. The first time we called the corporate line, the representative mentioned that we would get a refund. However after 3 days, we called the local store again to see why the delivery wasn't made. The local store in Dallas TX mentioned their hands were tied so we tried calling the corporate line and got the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The corporate customer service representative (name pronounced "U-Niss") wasn't allowing me to speak and refused to help her so I handed the phone to my husband. When trying to explain the issue, (name pronounced "U-Niss") started talking over him too. He was extremely rude and did not allow my husband to express our concerns. U-Niss apologized but then continued to interrupt my husband. We asked if the issue could be escalated to someone else since he wasn't willing to help us but he mentioned that there is nobody else. U-Niss finally agreed to "notify" someone but nobody ever called us back, provide an update or offer to help us. I am never buying anything from Edible Arrangements again. Edible Arrangements really needs to train their customer service representatives. I'm not sure if "U-Niss" is new or if good help is hard to find but its pretty pathetic if he is the best and only person available."

Del Mar Apartments says

"The website allowed me to place an order for delivery to a zip code they do not deliver to. I only found out they didn't deliver to the particular zip code when I called the store to verify my order was received. I canceled the order and have not yet received my money back."

Alyssa Aviles says

"Don’t order from them!!! They are over priced and have poor customer service! The last order received was destroyed and full of ants!! The strawberries looked old too!!! Called customer service and they didn’t help!! Refund or send another one but said if the second comes the same way they couldn’t help. What a mess!!! Decided to order from sharis barries!!!"

Penelope Snodgrass says

"On 12 Nov 2020 i ordered a bouquet of fruit online. The store that prepared and delivered the order in Edmonton Alberta was great. The problem is i was charged 5 times for the order a total of $525.00. I have contacted the store who provided me the contact info for head office and because my order was placed online they could not access the transaction to assist me. The 877 number is bogus! No one ever answers and when it says “ transferring to reception” but it never rings and no one ever picks up."

La-Shaunna Crockett says

"HORRIBLE!!!! I received a call from Edible Arrangements in Drexel Hill, PA. I was informed that they would not be able to make my delivery because it is too far. However, their store was the only location listed on the site within that zip code! I spoke with an incompetent worker named Candace who was beyond dismissive and did not want to help AT ALL! She did not want to locate another store and gave an excuse of their “computers being down.” She also, did not want to call another store to support with making the order. This arrangement was beyond important and because of her poor work ethic, the delivery will be late. She said she would cancel my order, but I have YET to receive an email! Or proof that my money will be refunded to my account! All she did was direct me to corporate and refused to put her manager on the phone for further assistance. Beyond unacceptable."

Charisse Bruce says

"I really wish I could give Edible Arrangements zero stars for the poor service and quality I received recently. I ordered a fruit box as a birthday present for a friend and since Edible Arrangements does not have a store located in his area, I used the FedEx delivery option. The fruits were supposed to arrive on a Monday but instead it was delivered three days later. Apparently Edible Arrangements submitted the incorrect address to FedEx and they were not able to deliver the fruit. No one informed me that this took place, I had to reach out and discover a day later that it was not delivered. Long story short, when the fruits finally arrived, they were DAMAGED, SPOILED and INEDIBLE. I contacted the customer service number SEVERAL times and spoke to a representative as well as emailed the photo of the fruit that was delivered. Edible Arrangements refused to provide me with a refund after three representatives promised a refund. I am utterly disgusted and this experience was deplorable. I will NEVER purchase edible arrangements AGAIN. Their customer service skills are mediocre."

Sandra Masterson says

"Do not use them. Over priced, rude customer service. They don't allow you to use coupons on products you want to purchase. They are very rude to refusal customers. Lost my business"

Jeff says

"Get an order and it was wrong and they didn't even say they were sorry in not too happy with it"

Adriana Sanchez says

"I am very disappointed I ordered nearly a month before the event the Great Outdoors Mug with fruits and when I went to collected it was just a cheap tin, at least they could have called me to let me know that what I ordered will look totally different, I understand that they have a note that states that Product Container may vary but never expected to receive a tin good for nothing. I would not recommend anyone to order there again."

Rebeca Dutra says

"They never made the delivery. Horrible phone service, SUPER rude attendant, claiming I was lying! They don't answer emails! They just destroyed a birthday surprise! Amateurs!"

Rayelle McLaughlin says

"Awful customer service! Delivery was missing several items and when I called the store they said that they were closing and couldn't be bothered to make things right. I got my money back for the missing items after finally getting a hold of the manager three days later. But it wasn't about the money...you should train your staff better in handling these kinds of situations."

Phil Stice says

"Never again will I order from this company. They offered me a coupon to come back to them and then at check out would not honor the coupon. Then I paid extra for delivery on a specific day and it did not come close to making it. Customer service has been totally unresponsive. Never again!"

Arlana Bennett says

"I will not ever order directly from them again. For Boss's day, my deliveries were not made until after close of business. Waste of money. The location on Dallas Hwy won't even answer the telephone...ever."

C. H. says

"Ordered 3x this year as gifts and been a recipient twice this year. I’ve not had any issues with ordering or delivery from my local store in Ohio. Only three stars though because the fruit I received went bad in about two days, both times. I don’t think it’s very fresh."
